I have always managed my own rentals. I never felt comfortable allowing someone else to manage my properties. After all, they are my properties and I knew how to manage them better than anyone else. Well, this all changed for me this year. I found the demands of my job and family were not allowing me to focus on my rental properties. Months would go by before I would advertise for tenants and I was not sufficiently screening applicants. I needed help but I was skeptical about property managers.
I started my search by asking for recommendation from other local real estate investors. I contacted four property managers. Two of them never called back. Really? Talk about a red flag. My main contact at Cornerstone is Saul Levy. Saul was available, on my time schedule, to meet me at one of my properties. I have multiple properties but I thought I would just start with one to determine how they would perform. Saul made me feel comfortable and I felt I could trust him and Cornerstone to manage my property. He made the contract process easy and was always available by phone when I had questions about the contract.
After working with Cornerstone for some time now I can’t believe I ever wanted to be my own property manager. Everyone at Cornerstone has been great and very customer oriented. I now have all my properties managed by Cornerstone. Saul stays in touch with me on a regular basis without prompting from me. I also know I can call Saul anytime and he is always available – not sure how he does that. Cornerstone has kept my properties rented at higher amounts than I ever did. I highly recommend Saul and Cornerstone and I am sure we will have a long-term, mutually beneficial relationship.

I would just like to say that since Cornerstone’s property managers took over the property management of Drakestone Townhomes from Fidelity Reality it has been much better. Before if something was broken or needed done around the apartment, it was like pulling teeth to get someone from Fidelity to take action. Scott, however, not only is very quick to get done what is needed, but he also has been doing many very needed improvements to the property.
